Understanding Angels, Oracles And Psychic Messages In The Natural World
Many excellent books on angels and psychic messages as well as decks featuring oracles exist, and they often describe a basic meaning associated with an animal, plant or special occurrence in one's life. Ultimately, deciphering the true message the universe may be trying to send has a lot in common with dream interpretation. Understanding the general or widely accepted meaning behind a symbol is only one way of interpreting it among several methods. A lot of getting the interpretation right depends on an individual's specific thinking and circumstances.
The message in full lies in a person's own relationship with the animal, plant or circumstance he believes is relaying a message. It also relates to the context of other events and surroundings as well as what else the person was thinking about at the time and other factors specific to the individual. Anyone attempting to understand the messages the universe provides should think about the messengers as well. Considering all the facets of how the message was delivered will help people understand how to arrive correct and unique interpretations of the messages around them.
First, a person should consider his or her own personal relationship with the messenger. Items that a person collects regularly such as bears, dragonflies or daisies are items that his or her angels or guides know have meaning. By showing a person something that is already special to him or her, they get that person's attention right away. Other items with special meaning could include something that recently appeared in a dream, a personal totem animal, or an animal affiliated with a person's family, family crest or family name. When angels or guides show someone a special animal as a symbol, it can act as validation of the message that came before or after seeing the animal. How an individual relates to that animal, whether he or she finds it spectacularly beautiful or simply cute or charming, also pertains to the message itself. A serious message validated by an animal the individual finds silly may be a way of telling the person to lighten up about the situation.
A plant message can be delivered in a similar way to an animal message. For example, if a person's family home sits in an area surrounded by cedar trees, and that person loves their fragrance and graceful way of dancing in the wind, perhaps a message could be delivered one day as that person happens to notice a cedar tree. If that person happens to be feeling lonely and spies a single tree, perhaps the universe is bringing her a message to make a visit home to her family for companionship.
When thinking about the context of an angel message or psychic message, the individual should consider whether the message or messenger arrived in or out of context. The message itself could relate to standing out or blending in. The message could also relate to the landscape, whether friendly or challenging. Just like interpreting dreams or oracles, a person needs to asses his or her own feelings about the context. Other things to consider are directions, either the direction the person was headed during the time of the message or the direction in which the messenger arrived or was headed. Shamans also believe that a messenger that encircles a person introduces itself as that person's power animal.
