Feng Shui Experts Don't Have to be Psychic To Change Your Life

Feng Shui is the ancient art of determining where objects, furniture, ornaments and other items should best be placed, and many people incorrectly assume that Feng Shui experts are also psychic. True, some do use their intuition, although the vast majority makes their observations and suggestions based on techniques and theories that have been practiced for centuries.

Many of the principals and observations of Feng Shui can be ascertained without being a psychic Feng Shui practitioner. For example, a person living in a cluttered, untidy and dark home is more likely to be depressed or feeling down. A person may be irritated or on edge much of the time if their house is located on a noisy street, and these and other observations are often taught in classes aimed at novices.

Many things that trained Feng Shui experts realize or determine are not obvious to those of us who have not been trained in this ancient technique. Although there seems to be no real physical evidence to prove this, it is the case that you are more likely to become an alcoholic if you live in a house that was constructed during the 1930s and faces southwest at a particular angle.

However, many people remain convinced that exponents of this technique possess some kind of supernatural powers or psychic intuition that the rest of us do not have. Some even claim that they are in touch with ghosts or the spirit world. We are all intuitive to some degree, and most of us can think of an example of having a feeling, hunch or instinct which later proved to be correct, although very few of us recognize and develop this skill. In fact, you do not even need to be a particularly intuitive person in order to practice Feng Shui; with the right training, just about anyone can be skilled at the art. Most professional psychics rely on something else altogether and often have an imagination that is too overworked or too active, allowing them to claim that they are using their imagination as part of Feng Shui techniques.
